Procedures and Policies

Rates and Charges

Rates quoted are in Australian Dollars ($AUD) and are subject to change at any time, without notice in the event of changes to government charges, taxes, or levies. Rates are inclusive of GST where applicable. Any verbal rate quoted is only an estimate of price, which will be subject to a written advice on confirmation of the reservation upon receipt of request.All rate conditions should be confirmed at the time of booking. All payments from overseas bank accounts must pay the invoice in full. Any bank and/or transaction fees are not payable by Salt Air Aviation Pty Ltd.

Payment Options

Agents with credit facilities will be invoiced post tour. Payment terms are strictly (14) days from invoice date.Direct booking payments are accepted by the following methods:Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)/Direct DepositMajor Credit/Debit Cards Accepted (A 1.1% surcharge will apply to all credit card transactions).

Cancellation Policy

No-shows will attract a 100% cancellation fee.Bookings cancelled within 48 hours of departure will attract a 100% cancellation fee.Bookings cancelled within 7 days of departure will attract a 75% cancellation fee.Bookings cancelled 8-30 days prior to departure will attract a 25% cancellation fee.The company will refund the full amount of the tour if we must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances.

COVID 19 Conditions

If your travel plans are affected by Covid-19 travel restrictions, we are more than happy to assess bookings on a case-by-case basis.You will have the option to reschedule, transfer to a gift voucher (valid for 2 years) or offered a full refund.Notice of no travel will need to be made prior to tour travel date. To assist us, please keep our bookings staff up-to date with any changes or proposed changes in your tour plans.

Child Policy

Infants aged 0-2 years can fly free of charge (FOC) on the lap of a parent or guardian with a maximum of 1 infant per flight (as per CASA regulations).Children 3 years and older must occupy their own seat and will be charged at the standard per person rate.

Minimum Numbers

All flights require a minimum of 2 passengers.There is no maximum.

Weight Limit

Payload limits apply to all aircraft. Accurate individual passenger body weights are required at time of booking.Salt Air Aviation reserves the right to refuse entry to company aircraft if this information is not provided.Maximum individual seat weight limit of 130kg applies to all flights.

Booking Procedure

Minimum 5 days’ notice for all national park helicopter tours.Minimum 14 days’ notice required for group bookings more than 12 passengers.All passenger names (given & family) & weights (kg) required prior to arrival.All special requirements for passengers to be advised prior to arrival.

Payments Procedure

All bookings must be paid in full prior to arrival unless you have been invoiced with payments terms.25% deposit is payable for bookings made 14 days or more from departure date.75% deposit is payable for bookings made between 7 and 13 days from departure date.100% is payable for bookings made between 48 hours – 6 days from departure date.Final balance to be paid no less than 48 hours prior to departure.

Responsibility

Sometimes, third party products will be included in special packages. As an agent on behalf of this product or service SALT AIR AVIATION shall not be liable under any circumstances for any failure by those service providers to fulfil such travel arrangements nor for any error, alteration or change of any kind made by those service providers following the acceptance of the booking by them. All coupons, vouchers, receipts and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by those service providers.

SALT AIR AVIATION for itself, employees or agents do not accept any responsibility for any act, omission, default or neglect of themselves, their employees or agents for injury, damage, or loss to persons or goods whatsoever or however the same may be caused and they do not warrant and are in no way responsible for the accuracy of any information given in statement made by their service providers in terms of travel arrangements.

SALT AIR AVIATION its product and staff will not be liable for any accident, injury, delay, property damage or personal loss to you or those travelling with you in connection with any accommodation, transportation, or other travel services resulting directly or indirectly from any occurrences or conditions beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of terrorism, act of God, defects in vehicles, war, strikes, theft, delay, cancellation, civil disorder, disaster, Government regulations or changes in itinerary or schedule.

Please note that all travel documents, observance of laws and regulations of various Governments are your responsibility.

The Wholesale Partner confirms and agrees that this agreement is confidential between the Wholesale Partner and SALT AIR AVIATION and the Operator shall not, in any circumstances, divulge or permit to be divulged, the contents of this agreement.

SALT AIR AVIATION reserves the right to amend these procedures and policies without notice; last updated April 17, 2023.
